To spin or not to spin....???



So I've been mighty tempted to try out one of the Spin classes that are offered at my gym.
But I'll honestly admit that I'm a bit scared because I'm pretty sure it will kick my butt into next Thursday. I totally enjoy getting a good sweat on, and I'm all for pushing myself but spinning takes it to a whole new level.
I dunno what it is that I find intimidating...the fast whirly buzz of the silver spin wheel,  the urber-fit Tammy the drill sargeant instructor barking "take it up to level 10 bitches!" from the front of the class, or the fact that my rear will be numb for a month afterwards. And do I need to buy padded spin shorts (like my butt needs to look any wider) or special spin bike shoes? (Really, am I that person?)

  
But the pay-off is supposed to be soooo great. Burning 500 calories in class you say? Yes please.
And can it be any worse that subjecting myself to another bootcamp class? (I'm sooo over bootcamp BTW...)
Well it's either spinning or Zumba and since Mama's dancing skills are rusty maybe I should just suck it up buttercup and take the dang spin class....

you can do it! I mean, I couldn't but you can!!! I tried once and walked out.. LOL. That was several years ago though.

Girl... DO IT. Spinning is amazing, it's the main thing I miss about belonging to a gym. It might take you a few times to really love it but you will get addicted. Does it make you want to go more if I tell you the calorie loss can actually be up to 1000? (If the class lasts an hour that is..)

I would go, be a bit early, tell the instructor it's for your class and if she makes you cry you are telling the bosses...and get a bike in the back!

Everytime your blog comes up in my blogroll I cant help but say it the way Teresa (RHNJ) says Fabulous lol!

I adore spin!!! It's my fave!! Try it. You'll be surprised...it's intimidating until you try it. Then you will love it!

i use to do it all the time before ! it is very painful but ya the whole no pain no gain is so true ! haha so with that said i need to get my ass back to spin !! thanks for insiring me :) so just do it girl !

Do it! I have heard great things about spinning! I have done a few and hated the sore butt! If I did it again, I would be all over the padded shorts.

it seems like everyone is spinning these days. i much prefer running.

i dunno, whenever i think of spinners (ha!) i think of women with short spikey blonde hair rocking major calves and attitude. lol.
