Eat nothing...

Christmas is winding down around here and things are finally getting back to normal after an über busy December. Normally I'd be kinda lamenting the fact that Christmas is over but I'm still looking forward to a few more family get togethers after New Years.  Yes more food and wine.

Question: how is one supposed to lose 10 lbs by January 6th when the fattening food won't go away?
(Why the seasonally inappropriate quest for rapid weight loss you ask, we haven't even hit New Years yet?)
Its because Mama and Husband are off to Vegas the first week of January and while we're there my plan is to find some serious dealz shopping for clothes, clothes and more clothes.

However I've apparently (over the last month) managed to eat a third of my total body weight in Ferrero Rocher, cheese and red wine.

Obviously one solution is to maintain the December status quo and just continue eating, but then walk the Vegas Strip and shop till my legs fall off, thus burning off the extra el-bees that have recently decided to call my muffin top "home."

Or I could pull a Bethenny Frankel and "Taste everything, Eat Nothing."
{What does that mean? Like literally eat nothing at all?  Well she did shed all her baby weight in 3 weeks...}

Let's keep it real here. I shall continue to eat, and I'll in all likelihood not drop 10 pounds by January 6th. However the elliptical trainer and me are gonna be on a first name basis. Hopefully?

What is your plan for the post holiday slim-down?

I try to balance eating days with normal days. I'm not a huge eater to begin with so these feast days kill me! I cant handle big meals. Heck I didnt even eat dessert on Christmas day! But I did eat 300 chocolates lol

Did you notice how the weight loss commercials didn't use to start until the New Year, now I swear it was on Boxing Day! I guess I'm going to eat in moderation, with more green than white on my plate..yada yada, haha.. Enjoy yourself in Vegas, such GREAT shopping there!

What a fun trip for you and your husband. Have fun shopping...I can't wait to see what you get!

I read a book called "Mindless Eating" that really changed my eating habits - until the holidays hit, that is! I'm planning on re-reading it to get back on track.

Bethenny has a great yoga/toning video that I did recently....it made my hamstrings and booty so sore!

Get a nasty cold and completely lose your appetite! It's working for me. In all seriousness I swear by Jenny Craig. It's a drag but you will lose 4 pounds the first week. But just enjoy your vacation!! Life is too short.

And yes I get so clumsy the week before my period!

Eat nothing? That sounds like a nightmare! I hear ya girl...I've definitely been putting on the pounds myself since Thanksgiving and finally had some time to hit up the gym last night. Ten minutes into my workout, I felt like I might die, haha : ) In any case, have an amazing New Year's Eve!!

I've been limiting my wine intake to 1 glass an outing (hard to get used to but worth it), eating salads for lunch, snacking lightly throught the day to keep my metabolism up, and doing pilates 5 times a week. Hope I see some results soon!
Jan. 6 is my bday, have fun in Vegas for me! You'll look fab 10 lbs or no 10lbs.

10 lbs. isn't that much, it's easy to lose. I've gained a couple of pounds but I've been trying to eat reasonably during the holidays like instead of five chocolates I'll have three when I'd normally only have one. It's good to indulge a little. And I still worked out during the past two weeks just not as much.

OOoh, you'll have so much fun in VEGAS!!!

You can do it, just try super hard to stay away from that fattening food, even though it looks a little tempting. If you want a snack, just have a tiny one without over indulging. Good luck and Happy New Year!

Ferrero Rocher, cheese and red wine... we were on the same diet!
My plan is to step up the exercise, like seriously step it up because the red wine and cheese would have to be wrestled from my cold dead hands.
Good luck and happy New Years! xo

I'm doing a clean cleanse. (I made that up, seriously.) I mostly juice and drink loads of it but also eat veggie soup and smoothies. A day or two or four depending on how bad I let myself go. This year I'll need to do this for approximately 360 days to make up for last year...

Or maybe just a week?

I´ve read her books but...no, they´re not for me. I need food and I love food. When I want to loose weight I stop eating at 5 pm: I eat oatmeal for breakfast, have a cookie/ fruit/ veggie here or there, have lunch ( a lot of pasta or potatoes) some fruit and... that´s it. No dinner, just a hot milk with honey and cinnamon. The next day I have lost weight, easy.
I kind of missed that post ;(
Hope you had lots of fuuuuuun!!!! You always look great hot mama! Muah!

I've been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It's pretty worth enough for me.
In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as
you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.

Best Sex doll is next big challenge for the adventurous..love or hate, you just cannot ignore it,

Most Sex Dolls are used by many for the utmost pleasure that they give and one gets out of it. They have dildos or masturbators attached to them in some models, which helps with stronger stimulation. A stronger stimulation means more satisfying and earth shaking orgasms.
