ELF and Wonder Woman...

I finally broke down and decided to order some elf products directly from their website. Up until now I`ve been grabbing whatever I could find from Winners (TJ Maxx) but the selection is seriously hit or miss and the prices are jacked up for who knows what reason since most elf products sell for between 1-5 dollars (US).  Since we don`t have Target here in Canada yet (2013 seems so long to wait) the only other option is to buy direct. The shipping was fast and cheap and there's always promo codes to be found online for an even bigger discount from their already ridiculously cheap prices.

I won't go into a full review of the haul (and as expected some products are way better quality than others)...but I have to say I love this stuff!

As if I didn`t order enough, while Husband was in L.A. this week on business, he called me from a Target store he`d stopped into while killing a few hours before he flew home. He asked if there was anything I wanted from the store, "Is the the Pope Catholic, is snow cold, is tan better than pale? Yes.
"Head to the makeup isles and look for the brand called elf." "Elf?" he asks. "Yes elf, just go with it..."
He actually went over and I walked him through what I wanted him to buy.  He's a good man yo.

I`ve had my eye on MAC`s Wonder Woman collection for Spring 2011 that came out a while back.  Wonder Woman is just about my fave fictional TV character ever and I may have rocked the heck out of my Wonder Woman Underoos once upon a time...but I still felt the collection was a bit gimmicky.
However I noticed this Mineralized Skin Finish, Pink Power and it was love at first swatch. It`s more like a matte bronzer, blush, MSF highlighter all in one. Perfect for travel. It wasn't cheap but you get so much product (20 g) that it seemed totally worth it.

It`s like a Lasso of Truth- there`s no lying about it, this stuff is fabulous...

How do you find the mineral foundation kit? :) e.l.f.'s mineral stuff does not have many reviews out there.

I seriously have no idea how you survive without a Target?!!

ELF is so hit-or-miss.. like, I hate their mascara.
Do you have Dollar Tree in Canada? Some of ours have the ELF glosses that are good to just toss in your purse or car.

I'm so excited that you got some ELF stuff, can't wait to hear your thoughts. I spot a few things that I haven't tried yet. That Wonder Woman line never interested me until you broke it down like that..that would be perfect for travel, hmmm.

Your husband is a sweetie!! How considerate of him. :) Awesome! I'm glad you got the makeup you wanted. And that MAC makeup looks awesome as well. I've always wanted to try MAC makeup, but I don't wear makeup enough right now to justify the purchase. Sigh.

Well hand me a kleenex cause I'm drooling over all of these products! I can't wait until I go to the states in May and pick up some elf makeup! You're right about the line being a hit or miss at Winners...

i definitely went on an ELF haul lately at Target (sorry, not rubbing it in..but it will be there soon enough haha). Everything I bought was 3 dollars or less...I looked so pathetic with loads of it in my arms!! I am actually liking the blush I bought alot! It is a bright pink and I can not recall the actual shade...hmmm.

Hope u have a good week girl!

Your husband is a keeper! :-)

I ordered a bunch of Elf stuff awhile back and the only thing I didn't like was the eye pencil.

I never thought about ordering online! I always searched Zellers and other places hoping they would have ELF products, it's very rare to find them though.

I will have to look into that because i have loved what i've tried so far!

HAHAHAH, I laughed out loud at that. Our poor men with their beauty addicted wives.(me included) LOVE IT!

I find elf to be hit and miss too, but over all considering it's practically free, you really can't complain.
Never got anything from the WW collection, but that bronzer/blush/hilighter duo looks to die!
Oh! and p.s. I went to one of those home parties (Candle Light) at my friend Andrea's on Tuesday night and actually had a blast, drinking wine and catalougue shopping. So I take back my hating of them! (From your previous post).
haha. Have a good weekend! (ALmost here)
